KSM Android UPNVJ was founded in 2014 with the name Android Community. At first, the Android Community only consisted of a few students. But over time, in 2015 the Android Community started to do open recruitment with a focused study in Java Programming and Algorithm.

In 2016, Android Community is ever-growing. Most of Android Community members also started to take a part in several events outside UPN Veteran Jakarta such as GDG DevFest, Indonesia Android Kejar, FemaleDev Chapter Leader, Dicoding Academy event, and more. Also in 2016, Android Community held the second open recruitment and opened the first specialization class, that is Mobile and Web Development.

In November 2016, Android Community officially became a student study group or what we usually know as KSM in the Faculty of Computer Science UPN Veteran Jakarta, namely KSM Android UPNVJ.
